When the House passed their version of Healthcare (by a tiny squeak of a margin), Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi noted the day was “historic” for that vote…and she also noted that the “Democrats took control of Congress three years to the day today”. Which means Democrats have controlled Congress since November 7, 2006. Wait a minute! Didn’t she get the memo?? Democrats and the administration have been complaining that they “inherited this mess”!? You mean she actually admitted that they MADE the mess? You mean Obama was a Senator during that time, and voted on the issues that created this mess? The White House may not be happy to hear this news!
NCN has not had much to say since that vote, because now the Senate is working on its version of the bill….and it’s all behind closed doors so there is not much information. What happened to the promise of transparency?
“Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public, no more secrecy. That’s the commitment I make to you as President.” ~ President Barack Obama. Read some great articles on the transparency promise and how it’s been broken at Pulitzer Prize-winning site Politifact.com.

I laughed when Pelosi called the house vote a “historic” event. What was the bills impact? It went into the shredder (took awhile at 2000 pages of crud) and the senate will now remake a bill. And one thing is certain, if the senate bill is anything like the “historic” one watch the Unions be the big winners (read we the big losers). What a terrific marriage…big government and big labor. That is an absolute gaurentee of high cost inefficiency. I cant wait to see all the costs that are wrung out of the system. They will use the same calculator that came up with the job creation or job saved numbers. I think Im gonna be ill.
