“Own it” and you own the people who use it.  Make people dependent and they follow you anywhere.  They have to.  How do you do it?  Politicize something that occurs naturally…..Cap and Trade is a shell game and will do NOTHING to reduce pollution or energy consumption.  Congressman Mike Rogers (click here for video)  on C-SPAN:  Legislators admit that Cap & Trade will make prices skyrocket.  This bill is not about reducing pollution, it’s not about reducing energy consumption.  Rather, it is about controlling another major sector of our economy and creating another way to tax EVERYONE from families to small businesses to major corporations.  Our quality of life is greatly affected by this segment of our economy, and our government wants to control it.  This bill creates very real consequences for real families.

Cap & Trade regulation would not “reduce pollution”.  It likely will not reduce energy use.  So you should ask: why would your congressman consider voting for it?  As national leaders around the world head to Copenhagen this week to discuss these issues, please let your congressman know your position.
